Established in 1990, the museum contains exhibitions showing aspects of whaling, shipwrecks, Union Castle Liners and the history of Table Bay Harbour. There is also a large ship-model collection, as well as a wooden-hulled yacht and the original Penny Ferry that operated in Table Harbour.
