Frederiksberg

Frederiksberg is not part of the municipality of Copenhagen but it is situated in the metropolitan area. From the mid-19th century and over the following 100 years Frederiksberg changed from village to city and it is now a popular residential quarter. It is home to numerous theatres and also to the Forum, a multi-purpose space offering concerts, flea markets, exhibitions and many other events. The cost of living in this quarter is generally higher than in other parts of Copenhagen. There are good bus and underground links to the rest of the city and the traffic and parking are not too bad. There are plenty of supermarkets, cafes and shops, making it a pleasant place to live.
