Vestamager

Vestamager is home to a large natural park (Kalvebod Faelled) as well as to the completely new Oeresund quarter, which is being constructed according to a single master plan; the first two areas are due for completion in 2010. The University of Copenhagens humanities faculty is also in Vestamager. The harbour in northern Vestamager has been cleaned and swimming is now possible; thousands of people come here in the summer to enjoy the sun and the view of the city. Islands Brygge has become quite expensive in recent years and it is soon going to be one of the most popular parts of Copenhagen. Vestamager is connected to the rest of the city by both bus and underground. It is perfect for those who want both nature and the city.
