The area is full of history but decidedly short on good residential housing. Buckingham Palace, Parliament and Downing Street, the Prime Minister's residence, are all here. Going north you reach Trafalgar Square, which is full of tourists at all hours, and the National Gallery. Going south you get to the river and the panoramic big wheel (the London Eye) from where you can observe all London. The area is within the Congestion Zone where all cars have to pay an entry and a transit fee.
