Many students chose Cuatro Caminos as the place to live. This is because it is close to the two important universities in Madrid, la Universidad Complutence in Moncloa, and the Universidad Autonoma north of Madrid. In addition the prices of apartments and even single rooms are very good for students. Even though many young people live here, there are not many bars, cafes or restaurants, so that means moving to other districts, usually the centre, for nightlife. There is a good variety of shops and the area is generally quiet.
