Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli


Description

Realized at the end of the 17th century, the park was built for public use. The garden extends its perimeter between Corso Venezia, Porta Venezia, Via Manin and Via Palestro. Furthermore the park includes some significant buildings: Dugnani Palace, built in 1600 and amended and restored in 1700, owned by the municipality since the end of 1800; the Museum of Natural History, designed in 1892 by Giovanni Ceruti,; The Planetarium Ulrico Hoepli, designed by architect Pietro Portaluppi in 1929. Among the statues a special mention goes to Indro Montanelli’s statue, built in 2002 by Vito Tongiani.
