This area is characterized by the big flyover that links Parioli and the historic centre with zones in the north of the city, such as Vigna Clara and Collina Fleming. The most recent development in this area is Rome's new music auditorium, designed by Renzo Piano. Below the flyover is the Olympic village, built for the 1960s Olympics and then converted into a residential area , with markets and supermarkets.
