All activity in this area is mainly along Via Gregorio VII, a major road that leads from the Vatican to Via Aurelia in the north-west of the city. Often full of traffic, the area is well connected to the centre of Rome. Just off Via Gregoria VII is St Peter's railway station which links Rome with areas to the north of the city and Viterbo. Buses from this station also leave frequently for the main parts of the historic centre and to the city's railway station Termini. You will find shops and restaurants in this area and it is noisy even at night. The building were constructed mainly in the 1950s and most of them have balconies and underground garages.
