Paper tickets will disappear from Amsterdam’s bus and tram public transport network from 3 June, reports Dutch News online. Then all passengers will have to use the OV-chipkaart smart card.
Bus operator GVB states that 80 per cent of Amsterdam’s public transport users already use the smart card, which can be loaded with a pre-paid amount or a specific travel pass.
